ABOUT AUDITIONS
What should I prepare? You do not need to have anything prepared to audition! We will provide a short monologue for you to use at your audition.
What time will my audition be? After completing the form below, we will be in touch with you to schedule your time slot! Auditions are 15-20 minutes.
What is the age range? Do I need Shakespeare experience to audition? All are welcome! SYT is accepting new students ages 12 - 18.
ABOUT THE SUMMER ENSEMBLE PROGRAM
Rehearsals will begin Monday, May 6th. Rehearsals will be 4pm - 8pm, M - F. Beginning June 17th (after the school year), rehearsals will be from 11am -3pm for A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and 4pm - 8pm for Romeo & Juliet. Not all actors will be called to all rehearsals.
Performances will be July 18th - August 4th. Performances are Thursday - Monday, alternating shows. Performances will be at the Crane Theatre in Minneapolis, MN!
ABOUT TUITON
The Summer Ensemble is a tuition based program. Financial aid and sliding scale payment plans are available!
CAN I AUDITION FOR BOTH A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM AND ROMEO AND JULIET?
SYT is presenting two productions this summer: A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Romeo & Juliet, performing in repertory (alternating performance nights) this summer. Actors may audition for either or both shows but will only be cast in one show.
