SEASON 19 TEACHING ARTISTS

 
 

LOGAN VERDOORN | ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

Logan has worked nationally and internationally as an actor, director, and educator, with a particular focus on Shakespeare in translation, cross-cultural collaboration, physical theatre and devised work. Before joining SYT in 2016, Logan was Theater Coordinator at New York University Berlin, where he created award-winning student programming featuring original, multi-lingual productions with students from NYU and local Berlin high schools. Logan has worked locally with theatre companies including Girl Friday Productions, Frank Theatre, Minnesota Jewish Theatre, and the Gremlin Theatre among others. Logan holds a BFA from Tisch School of the Arts at NYU.

Season 18 Classes: Core Ensemble production of Julius Caesar, Summer Ensemble production of Macbeth, Reimagining Macbeth Workshop, Twelve Days of Twelfth Night, Death by Shakespeare, Shakespeareance. Private audition coaching for college auditions.

 

LUKAS BRASHERFONS | associate artistic director

Lukas is a director/dramaturg based in Minneapolis. At SYT, he has directed As You Like It, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, as well as the Dream Project audio dramas of Romeo and Juliet, Troilus and Cressida, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. His dramaturgical endeavors include work with American Players Theatre, Writers Theatre, the Iowa NewPlay Festival, the Den Theatre, Mary-Arrchie Theatre Co, Next Theatre, Raven Theatre, Mercury Players, Broom Street Theater, Chicago Dramatists, and Northlight Theatre. Lukas has a BFA in Acting with a minor in Stage Combat from Columbia College Chicago; as well as an MFA in Dramaturgy from the Iowa Playwrights Workshop, where he was an Iowa Arts Fellow.

ANNIE ENNEKING | GUEST TEACHING ARTIST

Annie Enneking is a Minneapolis based singer-songwriter, actor, dancer, fight director, and teaching artist. She is a Full Instructor with Dueling Arts International, and teaches theatre and stage combat at various institutions, ranging from elementary schools to college level courses (University of Minnesota, St Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists, Guthrie Theatre, Children’s Theatre Company Theatre Arts Training program, and the Neighborhood Bridges program).

She has been a performing artist in the Twin Cities for over twenty-eight years, acting with Workhaus Collective, Children’s Theatre Company, The Guthrie, Walking Shadow Theatre, Theatre de la Jeune Lune, Playwrights’ Center, Frank Theatre, and the Jungle Theatre.

hadley evans nash | shakespeareance TEACHING ARTIST

Hadley Evans Nash (she/her) is a director, actor, and playwright from the gorgeous hills of Middlebury, Vermont. As an avid feminist, Hadley focuses on creating what she calls Theatre of Joy in the Traumatized Body—theatre that sees those who have experienced trauma not merely as victims, but as full humans capable and deserving of extreme joy. Now based in the twin cities, Hadley is the founder of Brick by Brick Players, and has also been proud to work with organizations such as Treefort Music Festival, the Minnesota Fringe Festival, and Classical Actor’s Ensemble. Hadley is an alumnus of the National Theatre Institute and the Shakespeare and Company Summer Training Program, and she holds a BA in theatre from St. Olaf College.
